We are starting to plan for our 2015 tours.  It’s always exciting to begin a new project or travel with a new group.  That’s one of the things about travel that is so invigorating.  One never knows, even after creating a plan, how it will actually turn out.  The mystery is so inviting!  There are new places to experience, new people to meet and then new memories to take home.

Our next trip is in May with Diana Hoppe, MD.  We started out thinking it would be a retreat with some workshops but when we polled the interested parties we realized they just wanted a relaxed vacation in Italy!  We can do that, we said!

One of the featured events will be our time with Gusto Umbrian Wine Tours: www.gustowinetours.com.  Mark and Giselle are not just knowledgeable about wines and food but they are great fun.  They will take us to the “back country” of Umbria where tourists are few because there are just farms and winding roads.  Sagrantino is the main varietal grape in this area of Umbria and it is unrivaled for a rich, full-bodied, juicy wine.  And don’t get me started on the cheeses in that area!

Our tours are limited to 10 or 12 guests because we not only want to have a good time but we want you to get the treatment we would give our own family coming to visit.  We still have a few spaces left for this tour; May 16-23, 2015.  If you register by December 31, 2014 you will get a $300 discount.  What a wonderful gift for your beloved or just for you.  www.italianexcursion.com
