Yes, it is time to make your plans for traveling to Europe. Low gas prices are proving to be a boon to air travel and the euro is leveling off to the dollar. This year will be a good year to see most of Europe.
One of the things I like to do to get ready for my travels to other countries is to watch some of my favorite films or television series that take place in those countries. Here are a few of my top picks:
Enchanted April; Bread & Tulips; Il Postino: The Postman; Roman Adventure; Crossing Lines; Midsomer Murders; Rosemary & Thyme; Inspector Lewis; Endeavor; The Pianist; Three Colors:Blue:White: Red; Billy Elliot.
There are many, many more, of course, so you can explore them for yourselves. And don’t forget all the wonderful books out there that depict life in other countries, as well as times. The list is endless. Once you have plugged yourself into the adventures of other countries it will be difficult to stay in your comfortable armchair for long!
